Visit the Bridge of San Miguel - Land Bouro

This wooden bridge is an alternative to one of the bridges over the Man River were destroyed in the seventeenth century, soon after the regaining of independence of Portugal from the yoke Filipino.

That infrastructure was already part of the route of Geira (XVIII Via the Antonine Itinerary), allowing to overcome the last major obstacle of the Serra do Geres towards Astorga, continuing for centuries to be the runner military road to Santiago, line economic transactions and gateway to the interior of Spain.
