Visit Skinny - San Pedro de Penaferrim (Sintra)

The Skinny, located in the Parish of San Pedro de Penaferrim, is part of a vast ensemble formed by the ancient shrine of San Saturnino and the palace romantic revivalist style, reminiscent of a fortress which was built in 1918.
This chapel of reduced dimensions, "hidden" in the Serra de Sintra, represents an important pilgrimage church, wrapped in a religious atmosphere of magic and are you associated the existence of a miraculous image of Our Lady.
This place of worship, plain-looking, has a rich interior with inlaid marble and stone tile blue and white, surprising even those who could get there.
The chapel can be found today have been built in the sixteenth century. Inside, the scenes of the life of the Virgin predominate, recorded in a set of tile panels lining the chapel.
